After being a tour guide in Alaska for the last five years I have had the opportunity to see a good portion of this amazing state. And every time I talk to people about Alaska I get the question what is the best place in Alaska. This is a very tuff question, because Alaska is full of amazing places, but I have my top five places and one of them is most definitely Juneau Alaska.Juneau Alaska is the major cruise port and destination for every cruise line sailing the Inside Passage. This is an amazing city that has a very young history but amazing one nonetheless. All cruise ships port in the down town section of the city, right at the base of Mt. Roberts and Mt. Juneau. The downtown section is hilly, but most of the shops and tour activities are all set on a flat area of the city.
